MILPITAS, CA. September 7, 2018 – MagArray, the leading developer of advanced medical diagnostics using magnetic nanosensor technology, announced the prestigious selection of our late-breaking abstract for oral presentation at the IASLC 19th World Conference on Lung Cancer hosted by the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer.

After a rigorous peer review process, “Risk Assessment for Indeterminate Pulmonary Nodules Using a Novel, Plasma-Protein Based Biomarker Test” will be presented by Anil Vachani, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine within the Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Division of the University of Pennsylvania. Our cutting-edge research will be discussed on Wednesday, September 26, 2018 during the Early Stage Lung Cancer: Present and Future Session from 10:30-noon. This important assembly will be moderated by Drs. Aman S. Coonar (Thoracic Surgeon at Cambridge University in the UK) and Roy H. Decker, (Professor of Therapeutic Radiology at Yale Cancer Center).

“It is a tremendous honor that our research on a novel, proteomic assay for lung nodule characterization has been selected by the esteemed reviewers at the IASLC 19th World Conference on Lung Cancer hosted by the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer”, said Luis Carbonell, CEO of MagArray. “Predicting the risk of developing lung cancer is a difficult task. Overdiagnosis is a serious problem in screening detected lung cancers. Plasma protein biomarkers, such as the assay described herein, may be particularly important in helping to select those patients appropriate for serial surveillance by further enhancing the quantitative, noninvasive assessment of these nodules.”

The MagArray CLIA-certified laboratory is prepared to process orders of the REVEAL test from clinicians and reference laboratories. Clinicians and patients interested in gaining access to REVEAL should call 619.738.3251, email amanda.fish@magarray.com or request information from the company’s website at www.magarray.com
